What to Look for When Choosing an iPad

While the lineup of iPads used to be confusing, Apple has spent some time simplifying their offering so you can make a better decision without getting so overwhelmed. Now there are only four options to choose from, making it infinitely easier to compare and pick the right one for you.

Disk Space

When looking at storage space on an iPad, the options are vastly different. You can choose as little as 64 GB of internal storage or as much as 1 TB. However, they come with a price tag. You’ll pay for the many other features that contribute to your need for that much space and the additional functionality you want the tablet to have.

The iPad Pro comes in 64 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB varieties and can accomplish a whole lot of complex tasks or store a lot of media files. The iPad Air comes with either 64 GB or 256 GB. The standard iPad comes with 32 GB or 128 GB, which is the smallest offering, but great for the average user. The iPad Mini comes with 64 GB or 256 GB.

Model

The four models to choose from include the standard iPad, the iPad Mini, the iPad Air, and the iPad Pro. They are all very different but built with specific users in mind, so you’ll be able to tell in short order which is best for you.

The iPad Pro is Apple’s headliner tablet. It’s sexy, slim, and streamlined. It features no home button, FaceID support, two screen sizes, and a whole lot of extras. Choose between an 11-inch screen or a 12.9-inch screen, with two price points to go with it.

If you’re looking for intense gaming or desktop-like performance, this tablet is for you. The iPad Pro offers performance like no other tablet in the Apple lineup. It provides the highest resolution of any other tablet on the market with the fastest processor to boot. Enjoy a cover, a Smart Keyboard, and an Apple Pencil that charges wirelessly and connects magnetically.

The iPad Air bridges the gap between the recently discontinued 10.5-inch iPad Pro and the cheaper options from Apple. It still contains much of the iPad Pro functionality and performance at a more affordable price point. It has a 10.5-inch screen with the same powerful processor, and it can also support the Smart Keyboard and the Apple Pencil.

The iPad 9.7-inch screen is for everyone. It’s affordable, has a powerful battery, and features an excellent processor – although not as great as the Pro or Air. It also has support for the Apple Pencil, which is a nice touch. With Touch ID, two speakers, and a great camera, you’ll be able to use this tablet every day and enjoy it. If you don’t need a professional camera or demand a lot of graphics or processing power for games, this is perfect for everyday tasks, watching movies, and streaming music.

Believe it or not, the iPad Mini also sports the same fantastic processor that’s in the iPad Pro. It can support the Apple Pencil, Touch ID, and the same resolution. The 7.9-inch screen is not much bigger than a phone, so it fits nicely in your hand and is a more portable solution to the bigger models.

If you need powerful performance and resolution, choose the iPad Pro. If you need something small and portable, get the iPad Mini. If you want iPad Pro-like performance at a lower price, get the iPad Air. For everyday use and the most affordable iPad on the market, go for the 9.7-inch model.

Refurbished or New

After you choose which model you want, you have to decide if you wish to shell out a lot of money for a brand new iPad or get a refurbished one. If you love the idea of opening up a brand new box and powering on your iPad for the first time, then a new one is your best bet. You won’t get the satisfaction that comes with knowing your device is brand new unless you buy it that way.

However, refurbished models are more affordable, and many of them were lightly used before they were restored. Many outlets have strict standards for selling refurbished products. They still come in the original box with all of the same accessories, but they are more affordable and easier on your pocketbook.

What Is Buy Now Pay Later

Getting the newest technology at an affordable price is often hard to do. When you want the latest and greatest but you can’t afford the price tag, a buy now pay later program could work. ZipPay and Oxipay allow you to get the products you want to be shipped directly to you while making easy monthly payments you can afford.
